Delegation from the Medical University of Lublin，Poland, Visits FAHWMU

On May 14, a delegation from the Medical University of Lublin, Poland, led by Prof. Wojciech Załuska, Rector of the University, and Ms. Magdalena Staśkiewicz, Head of the Department of Innovative Education, came to The First Affiliated Hospital of Wenzhou Medical University (FAHWMU) for an exchange visit. The delegation was received by Lin Geyin, Deputy Dean of the School of International Education at Wenzhou Medical University, along with representatives from the Department of Nephrology and the Cooperation & Communication Department.

The delegation visited the simulation clinic, the hospital history museum, and hemodialysis unit. In the simulation clinic, the delegation gained a systematic insight into the hospital’s achievements in digital infrastructure, information management, and artificial intelligence applications in medicine. Prof. Załuska highly commended the hospital’s pioneering efforts in smart medicine and expressed interest in sending students from the Medical University of Lublin to train in these technologies. He noted the broad potential for Sino-Polish collaboration in medical education and technological applications, and expressed hope for deeper, practical cooperation in areas such as joint research, joint talent training programs, and clinical technology exchange.

FAHWMU shares a long-standing history of cooperation with the Medical University of Lublin. The relationship began in 2014, when a delegation from the university first visited the hospital, laying the foundation for continued, mutually beneficial exchanges. Since 2016, a total of 12 medical and teaching staff from various clinical departments at the hospital have traveled to the Polish university for advanced training, instructional programs, and academic exchanges, achieving notable progress in the international training of medical professionals. The current visit represents both a continuation of this friendly partnership and a new milestone in deepening Sino-Polish integration in medical education and clinical practice. Going forward, both institutions aim to expand collaboration in smart medicine, talent development, and clinical technique exchange, working together to build a globally influential platform for medical education and scientific research.
