I. The Nursing Department

The Nursing Department of the First Affiliated Hospital of Wenzhou Medical University has a long tradition of excellence. Started with the initial six nurses, the nursing team of more than 2700 nurses now developed comprehensively in nursing clinic, management, teaching and scientific research. We provide medical care and rescue service to the nearly 30 million residents in southern Zhejiang and northeastern Fujian.

Currently, by 2022, the number of nurses with bachelor's degree or above accounts for more than 95% of the nursing team. There are 205 specialist nurses and 93 nurses with graduate degree, and 138 senior tittle nurses. A total of 107 backbones nurses held various positions in various academic groups.

We are constantly building the magnetic hospital culture. We provide the humanistic care and diverse educations to the patient. We actively implement Internet Plus Nursing, expand nursing specialist service areas, carry out various forms of public education activities. We actively provide public health emergency services, safeguard public health and meet the diverse needs of the public. We strive to improve the public’s satisfaction to the medical service.

II. Internet Plus Nursing Service

In August 2019, our hospital entered the platform of Zhejiang Internet Hospital. At present, we provide 6 online "Internet plus nursing services", including health consultation, maternal and infant care, ostomy care, PICC/venous infusion port care, peritoneal dialysis care, and dressing change for chronic/infectious wounds. We also offer 30 offline Internet plus nursing services, including oncology care, diabetes patient care, postpartum breast dredging, neonatal umbilical care, newborn diaper rash care, neonatal massage, neonatal jaundice test, indwelling catheter care, gastric tube feeding, peritoneal dialysis care, PICC/venous infusion port care, wound, stoma, incontinence dermatitis, pressure ulcer care, elderly, neurological, orthopedic rehabilitation care, non-invasive ventilator home use guidance, airway clearance technology, aerosol inhalation therapy guidance, respiratory function exercise, trachea cannula family management, orthopedic patient rehabilitation exercise guidance, orthopedic patient care and guidance of various fixing devices, lymphedema care, use guidance of scanning glucose monitoring system, spleen and stomach disease - ear acupuncture point sticking technology. Since the opening of "Internet plus Nursing Service", we has served more than 40000 patients online and more than 600 patients offline .

III. Specialist Nurse

We offer specialized nurse training program for respiratory specialist nurse, oncology specialist nurse, endoscopic specialist nurse, adult ICU specialist nurse, emergency specialist nurse, peritoneal dialysis specialist nurse, organ transplantation specialist nurse, operating room specialist nurse, neurology specialist nurse, respiratory specialist nurse, assisted reproductive technology specialist nurse, diabetes specialist nurse, and ostomy therapies training.

The specialist nurse provide patient care at following out patient clinics: PICC/venous infusion port out-patient maintenance, wound stoma care, diabetes care, maternal and infant care, stroke care, peritoneal dialysis care and respiratory care, and has served more than 20000 people so far.
