Key Laboratory of Diagnosis and Treatment of Severe Hepato-Pancreatic Diseases of Zhejiang Province was established by famous surgical expert Prof. Qian Li in 1980s and granted as the Top Priority Discipline of Zhejiang Province. The laboratory is dedicated to facilitate basic and clinical research of severe pancreatitis, portal hypertension and biological behavior-oriented pancreatic liver tumors. Till now, it has undertaken more than 20 National Natural Science Funds and 20 Provincial Subjects, and published more than 400 SCI papers. The laboratory has achieved the highest award of medical science field in China:the First Prize of the Chinese Medical Science and Technology Award, the First Prize of Scientific and Technological Progress of Zhejiang Provincial People’s Government, the Second Prize of Scientific and Technological Progress of Ministry Education, and the First Prize of Medical and Health Science and Technology of Zhejiang Province.
