" 2023 WMU-SibMed WITMED Program" successfully held in FAHWMU

From August 15th to 20th, Professor Nataliya Chasovskikh and a group of six members from Siberian State Medical University in Russia visited our hospital to conduct the WITMED Program. Situated in Tomsk City, Siberian State Medical University boasts a rich history of 135 years and is regarded as the top medical university in Eastern Russia. In 2023, it is ranked fourth among medical universities in Russia according to Edurank.

During the program, Professor Nataliya Chasovskikh shared insights on the research and educational trends of the IT medicine in SibMed. The purpose of this visit is to further enhance the exchange and collaboration between Wenzhou Medical University and Siberian State Medical University in the field of smart healthcare.

Throughout the program, our colleagues from the information department showcased our hospital's experiences and achievements in the field of smart healthcare. Key topics included the application of medical AI, intelligent wearable devices, research databases, and 5G technology in healthcare scenarios. Additionally, our engineering team demonstrated the electronic medical record system, the integration of online and offline Internet hospital, as well as the progress made in Telesurgery.

During the on-site visits, the delegation from Siberian State Medical University had the opportunity to experience our hospital's smart pharmacy, modern operating rooms, Da Vinci surgical robot system, and bedside settlement system at the ward nurse station. They personally witnessed the convenience that smart healthcare brings to patients and medical staff. Professor Nataliya Chasovskikh remarked, "In Wenzhou, I have seen many innovative achievements that are truly impressive."

In addition to the program, Professor Nataliya Chasovskikh and her delegation also visited landmarks in Wenzhou, including Wenzhou Medical University, Eye Hospital, Wuma Street & Gongyuan Road Historical District, Sanyang Marsh, and World Wenzhounese Home. The successful organization of the "2023 WITMED Program" has brought Wenzhou and Tomsk closer together, laying a solid foundation for further collaboration in medical education, clinical technology, scientific research, and cultural exchange between the two sides.
