Professor Guo Yajun and Professor Manfred Dietel visited FAHWMU

On the afternoon of June 5th, Professor Guo Yajun, Chief Scientist of the National Key Laboratory for Macromolecule Drugs and Large-scale Preparation, Professor Manfred Dietel, Academician of the German Academy of Sciences, Chairman of the German China Health Organization, and Chief Scientist of the Virchow Laboratory, among others, visited the First Affiliated Hospital of Wenzhou Medical University (FAHWMU). Vice President Zhang Chunwu of FAHWMU, and the heads of relevant departments such as the Party & Administration Office, Human Resources Department, Department of Outpatient Clinic, Cooperation & Communication Department, Disciplines, Science & Technology Department, Pathology Department, and Department of Wound Repair took part in the reception.

Professor Guo Yajun and Professor Manfred Dietel conducted on-site inspections of the Department of Pathology and the Department of Wound Repair, and had discussions and exchanges in the conference room. Zhang Chunwu warmly welcomed the arrival of the professor and his team on behalf of the hospital, and briefly introduced the hospital's disciplinary construction, talent cultivation, cultural construction, and other aspects. Both sides had in-depth exchanges and discussions on clinical research, talent cultivation, and other related topics.

Professor Manfred Dietel expressed gratitude for our warm reception and fully acknowledged our achievements in medical services, disciplinary development, and scientific research achievements. In the reception, our school awarded Professor Manfred Dietel a special appointment letter as a subject consultant.

Professor Manfred Dietel, as a member of the German Academy of Sciences, is the President of the German Pathological Society and a top expert in international pathological research. During his visit in Wenzhou, Professor Manfred Dietel visited Wenzhou Medical University and Gene Medicine Valley, and made a theme report entitled "Morphology- molecular pathology is a prerequisite for clinical precision medicine". Professor Manfred Dietel's visit this time has a positive promoting effect on further strengthening the hospital's external communication and cooperation, and enhancing the hospital's international perspective.
