Advisor to the Minister of Thailand’s Ministry of Higher Education, Science, Research and Innovation Visits The First Affiliated Hospital of Wenzhou Medical University

A delegation led by Dr. Pedesao Domina, Advisor to the Minister of Higher Education, Science, Research and Innovation of Thailand, visited The First Affiliated Hospital of Wenzhou Medical University (FAHWMU) on May 21st. The delegation, consisting of nine members, was warmly received by representatives from Wenzhou Medical University and FAHWMU, including Vice President Zhu Xuebo, Director of the International Affairs Office Zhuge Jing, Deputy Director Xia Lu, Vice President of FAHWMU Sun Weijian, and representatives from relevant departments.

During the visit, the delegation conducted an on-site inspection of the Nanbaixiang Campus of the hospital, with a particular focus on the simulated clinic rooms. They gained an in-depth understanding of the patient flow and the hospital's information service system. The delegation expressed strong interest in the innovative applications of artificial intelligence technology in the hospital and highly praised the achievements in this field.

This visit has deepened the mutual understanding between China and Thailand in medical technology, scientific research innovation, and talent cultivation. Both sides expressed their willingness to take this exchange as an opportunity to further explore cooperation in the fields of smart healthcare, telemedicine, medical education, and other areas, and jointly promote the international development of medical and health undertakings.

As a regional medical center, FAHWMU remains dedicated to technological innovation and international cooperation. The visit by the Thai delegation not only highlighted the hospital’s comprehensive capabilities but also served as a significant step in promoting healthcare cooperation between China and Thailand.
