Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine

Department of pulmonary and critical care medicine is the medical support discipline of Zhejiang province, an innovation discipline of Zhejiang province, a national standardized training base for resident doctors, specialized clinicians of respiratory and critical care medicine pilot training base of Chinese association of chest physicians(CACP), a respiratory endoscopy training base of national health commission, a national base for GCP. There are 195 beds in our department, including 27 beds in RICU. The main features and advantages of PCCM contain: early diagnosis and management of lung cancer; innovation and application of respiratory interventional technology; diagnosis and treatment of respiratory critical illness and respiratory infection; standardized management and integrated management of chronic airway disease. Moreover, the focuses of scientific researches include: pathogenesis and comprehensive prevention and treatment of pulmonary arterial hypertension; research on molecular mechanism of staphylococcus aureus; molecular mechanisms of acute respiratory distress syndrome and early diagnosis and treatment of COPD.
