On December 7th, KETTE Jean Chrysostome, dean of L'HOPITAL de l'AMITIE, NDAKALA Serge Augustin, director of trauma repair department, and PINGUERE Joel, director of critical care anesthesia and surgery department, made up a three-member China-Africa training delegation to visit the First Affiliated Hospital of Wenzhou Medical University (FAHWMU) who are the first group of advanced specialists in the Joint Project on Trauma Infection and Repair Specialties. This is the first time for the medical personnel of the recipient hospitals to come to China, which is another breakthrough in the cooperation mechanism of the counterpart hospitals in Zhejiang Province. The medical activities abroad have also shifted from "blood transfusion" to "hemopoiesis".

Shen Xian expressed a warm welcome to the dean of L'HOPITAL de l'AMITIE and the delegation who came to China across thousands of miles. He said that General Secretary Xi Jinping called on the international community to unite and cooperate to promote the building of a community of human destiny at the 73rd World Health Assembly. In the report of the 20th Party Congress, it was also pointed out that the "Belt and Road" has become a popular international public product and platform for international cooperation. Our hospital has always insisted on practicing the purpose of building a community of human destiny, and has continued to promote medical cooperation and international public welfare while promoting the high-quality development of the hospital. The hospital will also organize outstanding experts to promote the "Belt and Road Initiative" tour to China and Africa and the "Skin Life Project" international medical cooperation in the field of trauma repair.
KETTE expressed his heartfelt thanks to our hospital for the elaborate planning and arrangement. He said that the cooperation mechanism of 30 China-Africa counterpart hospitals has brought the two hospitals together, which are far away from each other, and the implementation of the "Joint Project of Trauma Infection and Repair Specialists" will be conducive to the promotion of appropriate technology, training of professional technicians and better service to the local people. He said that he really felt the sound hospital infrastructure, orderly patient consultation and unity and cooperation of medical staff in our hospital. At the same time, on behalf of the Minister of Health of the Central African Republic and all the staff of China-Africa Friendship Hospital, KETTE expressed his utmost sincere thanks to Secretary Shen Xian and the organizers of the counterpart cooperation project, who turned the agreement between the two countries from words into reality.

Acute and chronic trauma and other types of trauma not only bring great pain to patients, but also require high treatment costs, which put great pressure on the public health system and seriously affect the health of people in these countries and regions. Founded by Academician Li Zu-kun, the Department of Trauma Repair is an innovative specialty in the field of regenerative medicine, adhering to the construction concept of "Innovation - Characterization - Integration - Openness", fully integrating advantageous resources, innovating the diagnosis and treatment platform, and actively translating clinical research.
